Richard joined 1 Chancery Lane in May 2017 following a long career as a solicitor and partner working in the City of London.

During his career as a solicitor, Richard was national head of DAC Beachcroft’s professional indemnity team from 2003 to 2007 and served two 3 year terms as a member of the Global Board of the firm.

Richard specializes in professional indemnity and professional negligence claims as well professional disciplinary hearings. He also deals with applications for judicial review as well as privacy and data protection disputes.

Richard holds a part-time appointment as a lecturer in public law (education) at King’s College, University of London.
